Legislation (Definitions of Woman and Man) Amendment Bill – Submissions close Thursday 2 July

This Bill imposes a single legal meaning of “woman” — an adult human biological female — and “man” — an adult human biological male — across every existing Act of Parliament in New Zealand. This overrides legal recognition that trans, intersex, takatāpui and non-binary New Zealanders have relied.

Summary Offences (Move-on Orders) Amendment Bill – Submissions close Thursday 2 July

This bill seeks to amend the Summary Offences Act 1981 to introduce a new power for Police to issue move-on orders that require people who are homeless in public places to leave the area and not return for a specified amount of time.
